Terms of Use
Last updated: September 2026
1. Scope
These Terms of Use govern the use of Soul Radar – Your Soul Event Finder (“Soul Radar”), including the use of registered user accounts, profiles, event submissions, saved events, “I’m Going”, following, messaging and other community features provided by Soul Radar.
By creating an account, users agree to these Terms of Use.
2. Purpose of Soul Radar
Soul Radar is an international information and community platform for events from the Soul scene and related music styles.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Soul Radar is neither the organiser nor promoter of the events listed on the platform and does not sell tickets.
Information about events is provided for informational purposes. Any contract relating to an event, including the purchase of tickets, is concluded exclusively between the user and the respective organiser, venue, ticket provider or other third party.
3. User accounts
Registration is required for certain features of Soul Radar.
Users must provide accurate information when registering and must keep their login credentials confidential and protect them against unauthorised access.
Accounts are personal and may not be transferred to third parties without permission.
Users are responsible for activities carried out through their account to the extent that they are responsible for such activities.
User accounts may not be used for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, harassing, misleading or disruptive purposes.
4. Profiles and community features
Registered users may be able to create profiles, follow other users, DJs or organisers, indicate attendance at events and use other community features.
Users must respect the rights of other users when using these features. Harassment, threats, discrimination, impersonation, unsolicited advertising, spam or other abusive behaviour is not permitted.
Where messaging functions are available, they may not be used to distribute unlawful content, spam or unsolicited commercial messages.
5. Submitting events
Where this feature is available, registered users may submit events for inclusion on Soul Radar.
Users submitting an event must truthfully indicate their relationship to the event where requested by Soul Radar.
There is no entitlement to publication.
Soul Radar may review submissions, request additional information or corrections, reject submissions or remove published events where there is a reasonable reason to do so, including violations of these Terms of Use, legal requirements or the purpose of the platform.
Publication of an event does not constitute a recommendation, endorsement or verification of the organiser or event by Soul Radar.
6. Accuracy of event information
Users submitting or managing events are responsible for providing information that is accurate and up to date to the best of their knowledge.
This applies in particular to:
- date and time
- venue and address
- admission price
- DJs, artists and line-up
- ticket information and links
- event status
- cancellations and postponements
Event information published on Soul Radar may originate from organisers, promoters, venues, registered users or publicly available sources.
Soul Radar may review submitted information before publication but cannot guarantee that all information is accurate, complete or current.
Events may be changed, postponed or cancelled at short notice.
Users should therefore verify important event information directly with the organiser, venue or official ticket provider before travelling, booking accommodation or purchasing tickets.
7. Rights to flyers, images and other content
Users may only upload or submit flyers, photographs, logos, texts and other content if they hold the necessary rights or are otherwise authorised to use and publish the content.
By submitting content, the user grants Soul Radar a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use the content to the extent necessary to operate and present Soul Radar.
This includes, where technically necessary, the right to store, reproduce, resize, crop, format and display the content on Soul Radar and in connection with the presentation and promotion of the respective event or the Soul Radar platform.
The licence is limited to these purposes. Ownership and all other rights remain with the respective rights holder.
Where content is removed from Soul Radar, Soul Radar will cease using it within a reasonable technical period unless continued storage or use is required by law, necessary for the handling of legal claims or otherwise legally permitted.
Users remain responsible for the content they submit.
8. Prohibited content and conduct
Users must not submit, publish or distribute content or use Soul Radar in a manner that is unlawful or violates the rights of others.
In particular, the following is prohibited:
- unlawful content
- obviously false, fraudulent or deliberately misleading event information
- content infringing copyrights, trademarks, personality rights or other third-party rights
- discriminatory, hateful, threatening or harassing content
- impersonation of another person, DJ, organiser or organisation
- spam or unsolicited commercial messages
- malicious links or content intended to interfere with the security or operation of Soul Radar
- abusive duplicate event submissions
- automated mass submissions without permission
- content with no recognisable connection to the purpose of Soul Radar
Soul Radar may take appropriate measures against such content or conduct in accordance with applicable law.
9. Reporting unlawful or infringing content
Users and third parties may report content that they believe to be unlawful or to infringe their rights.
Soul Radar provides an electronic contact or reporting option for this purpose.
Reports should identify the relevant content and explain why it is considered unlawful or infringing. Soul Radar may request additional information where necessary to assess the report.
Reports will be reviewed and appropriate action will be taken where required by applicable law.
Further information and contact options may be provided on the relevant reporting or contact page of Soul Radar.
10. “I’m Going”
The “I’m Going” feature allows registered users to publicly indicate their intention to attend an event.
“I’m Going” is solely a community feature.
It does not constitute:
- a binding event registration
- a reservation
- a ticket purchase
- a guarantee of admission
- a contractual relationship with the organiser
Users may withdraw their “I’m Going” selection at any time.
Where an event is cancelled, the “I’m Going” function may be disabled or the attendance indication may no longer be displayed as an active attendance intention.
11. Following and notifications
Users may be able to follow other users, DJs or organisers and receive notifications relating to events or activities on Soul Radar.
Notifications are provided as an additional convenience. Soul Radar does not guarantee that every notification will be delivered or delivered at a particular time.
Important information concerning an event should therefore always be verified through the official organiser, venue or ticket provider.
12. Event changes, postponements and cancellations
Events listed on Soul Radar may be changed, postponed or cancelled.
Soul Radar endeavours to reflect changes that become known to it within a reasonable period but cannot guarantee that information provided by organisers, users or other sources is complete or up to date at all times.
Soul Radar is not responsible for decisions made by event organisers, including cancellation, postponement, changes to the programme or refusal of admission.
Any claims arising from tickets, refunds or the organisation of an event must generally be addressed to the respective contractual partner.
13. External links and ticket providers
Soul Radar may contain links to websites and services operated by organisers, venues, ticket providers, social networks or other third parties.
These external services are operated independently of Soul Radar. Their respective terms, privacy policies and contractual conditions apply.
Soul Radar is not a party to contracts concluded between users and external providers unless expressly stated otherwise.
14. Moderation and enforcement
Soul Radar may review content before or after publication.
Where there are reasonable grounds, Soul Radar may take appropriate measures including:
- requesting corrections
- rejecting event submissions
- restricting the visibility of content
- removing content
- restricting individual platform functions
- temporarily suspending accounts
- terminating accounts in serious or repeated cases
Possible grounds include violations of these Terms of Use, unlawful content, infringement of third-party rights, spam, fraudulent behaviour, manipulation of the platform or risks to the security of Soul Radar or its users.
Where required by applicable law, affected users will be informed of the relevant decision and the reasons for it and of available options to challenge the decision.
15. Availability and changes to the service
Soul Radar aims to provide a reliable service but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.
Access may temporarily be restricted due to maintenance, technical faults, security measures, updates or circumstances outside the reasonable control of Soul Radar.
Soul Radar may further develop, modify, add or discontinue individual functions where there is a reasonable reason to do so and where this does not unreasonably disadvantage users.
16. Liability
Soul Radar is liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence and for damage resulting from injury to life, body or health in accordance with applicable law.
In cases of slight negligence, Soul Radar is liable only for the breach of essential contractual obligations whose fulfilment is necessary for the proper use of the service and on whose fulfilment the user may reasonably rely. In such cases, liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of service.
Mandatory statutory liability remains unaffected.
To the extent permitted by law, Soul Radar is not liable for circumstances outside its responsibility, including the organisation, modification, postponement or cancellation of third-party events, decisions by event organisers or the performance of external ticket providers or other third-party services.
17. Account deletion and termination
Users may delete their account using the function provided for this purpose or request deletion through the contact option provided by Soul Radar.
Soul Radar may restrict, suspend or terminate an account where there is a legitimate reason, particularly in cases of serious or repeated violations of these Terms of Use or applicable law.
Where required by applicable law, users will be informed of such measures and the reasons for them.
Deletion of an account does not affect statutory retention obligations or other legally permitted or required storage.
Further information about the processing and deletion of personal data is provided in the Privacy Policy.
18. Changes to these Terms of Use
Soul Radar may amend these Terms of Use where this is necessary due to changes in law, the technical operation of the platform, security requirements or the introduction or modification of platform functions.
Material changes affecting registered users will be communicated in an appropriate manner before they take effect where required.
Changes will not unreasonably alter the essential contractual relationship to the detriment of users.
The current version of the Terms of Use will be available on Soul Radar.
19. Applicable law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.
If the user is a consumer and has their habitual residence in another country, mandatory consumer protection provisions applicable at the user’s place of residence remain unaffected.
